The Director of Events role is an integrative role who will be working closely with the VPs of Events. The purpose of this role is to organize and execute all of the club’s events throughout the school year, ensuring they are successful, cost-effective, and adhere to budget and deadlines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing new events and improving existing LWIS events to increase student attendance and participation.
Responsible for the execution and logistics of all events run by the association.
Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to develop marketing plans and promotional activities for the event.
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers as necessary (i.e., venue, drinks, food, etc.)
Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports for the Co-presidents, suggesting any necessary improvements.

Ideal candidate will possess:

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Aptitude to identify and make recommendations to improve existing processes.
Ability to work collaboratively with their team and various internal LWIS executives.
Creativity & Innovation.
Experience in the event industry is considered an asset.
