Startup Laurier is looking for 2 Directors of Events to help coordinate Entex, LVC, and other innovative events while growing student involvement in the club for the 2023/2024 year.
Responsibilities Include:
- Weekly meetings with the Startup Laurier Executive Team
- Securing keynotes speakers, judges, and workshop speakers for various events
- Planning and execution of flagship events
- Check-ins with the Presidents and VP's of Events
- Collaborating with Event's team to organize all logistics before, during, and after an event
- Frequent updates in regard to events
- Actively engaging in Startup Laurier’s vision and key pillars
- Attend all executive team and team social events unless notice given
Skills Required:
- Experience using Zoom, Google Meets, and other video communication platforms
- Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint etc.)
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Team player who is dedicated and passionate about Startup
- Optional: Experience planning an in-person/virtual event would be a bonus
Time Commitment: 4-8 Hours Per Week
