The Director of Finance will assist in all financial aspects of the organization alongside the VP of Finance. By managing and monitoring the organization's financial status and health, you will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of ASIB at Laurier.

Average Time of Commitment: 3-6 hours per week (varies throughout the year)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Planning budgets for upcoming events to ensure proper financial health for the rest of the year.
Collaborate with other portfolios to draft feasible budgets and maintain a strong communication line.
Reviewing and adjusting budgets after events have taken place.
Collecting forms and submitting reimbursements for the items purchased for ASIB events.
Accurately applying for funding online through LazSoc.
Participating and engaging in bi-weekly portfolio and bi-weekly full team meetings.
Qualifications:

Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Great time management and organization
High level of problem-solving and critical thinking
Interest in pursuing roles in finance and accounting
Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (specifically Excel)
Previous experience with budgeting and finance is an asset, but not necessary
