Startup Laurier is looking for a First Year Representative to increase Startup Laurier's exposure to first year students, and assist various portfolios (Internal, Finance, Events, Student Engagement, Marketing, and Corporate Relations) while playing a key role in building a strong culture within the club.
Responsibilities Include:
- Weekly meetings with the Startup Laurier Executive Team
- Providing support and guidance to all portfolios and the co-presidents, depending on where support is needed
- Idea generation of club social events
- Assist with the coordination of club apparel for Executive Team
- Help ensure EDI is represented at each event
- Actively engaging in Startup Laurier’s vision and key pillars
- Maintain strong Startup Laurier culture and keep morale high
- Attending all executive team and team social events unless notice given
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, persistent and committed
- Excellent time management skills, strong work ethic and organization skills
- Outgoing personality who loves meeting new people and works well in a team environment
Time Commitment: 4-8 Hours Per Week
