VP of Human Resources

Hours of Commitment: 7-9 hours/week

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The VP of Human Resources reports directly to the Co-Presidents and works closely with every executive portfolio to promote a strong culture within the DECA Laurier executive team. The VP of Human Resource oversees: hiring and recruitment of First Year Executives, team updates and check ins, and team building initiatives.. The VP of Human Resources will communicate closely with other Vice Presidents on the executive team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Great organization and communication skills
- Approachable, friendly, and spirited
- Flexible and strong problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and precision for event planning
- Experience in group engagement and public speaking

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan social events and retreats that engages the executive team throughout the year
- Maintain campus relationships with clubs in Lazsoc and WLUSU to seek opportunities for collaboration that offers value for DECA Laurier and our delegates
- Coordinate the incoming hiring for First Year Representatives in the Fall term
- Organize recruitment of delegates for special events and external competitions (Queen’s Invitationals, Provincials Special Case Teams, etc)
- Other duties as assigned
