The Lazaridis Students’ Society Executive Leadership Team consists of the Co-Presidents and seven Vice Presidents who are responsible for overseeing and leading their respective portfolio. Time commitment will fluctuate throughout the year with a minimum expected time commitment is 20 hours per week. Vice Presidents are expected to attend weekly meetings with the Executive Leadership Team, weekly Full Team executive meetings, and facilitate meetings with their own team.
Description of the role: Vice President, Internal Relations & EDI
As the Vice President, Internal Relations and EDI, you will oversee initiatives to foster a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic culture both in Lazaridis Students' Society and in the broader student community. You also support key business operations and team initiatives - including team meetings, internal presentations, and the management of shared information. Your role includes managing our G-Suite, Calendars, Slack, and the entirety of retreat to create an environment for our executive team that fosters heavy collaboration and growth. You are a self-starter, forward thinking person that is able to thrive in a fluid environment. In supporting the broader community, you hold a meaningful role in identifying ways to improve the overall student experience. This includes leading and executing EDI initiatives throughout the Lazaridis community and developing philanthropic initiatives for the LazSoc team. You are methodically organized and can manage multiple projects while sharing your passion with the rest of the LazSoc team.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be a student enrolled in a Lazaridis program (BBA, Economics, or Double Degree)
- Passionate about providing value for the students at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics in line with the Presidents’ strategic vision
- Exceptional leadership abilities
- Ability to work well in a team dynamic, but also autonomously during a demanding schedule
- A self-starter who takes initiative and is always mindful of what is going around them
- Excellent work ethic, always meeting, and at times exceeding, the expectations of your weekly responsibilities
- Creativity and the ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Extremely organized and can effectively manage multiple, ongoing tasks
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude, contributing to the culture of the LazSoc team
- Having previously worked with G-Suite and/or Slack is considered a strong asset
- Discipline and integrity, setting the example for the rest of the Executive team and the Lazaridis School community as a whole

Interviews will take place between Sunday, February 9th and Thursday, February 13th. If chosen for an interview we will provide more specific information.
