Orientation Day is an exclusive event for incoming Lazaridis Business & Economics first year students. Since 2007, the Lazaridis Students’ Society has hosted this exceptional event to give incoming students a true introduction to the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics and experience everything it has to offer. This engaging event involves sessions about succeeding in the business world, team-building activities, networking with faculty and student leaders, a clubs fair, and a three-course luncheon followed by a keynote speech from a distinguished guest speaker. Past speakers have included Robert Herjavec and David Chilton from Dragons Den, Tim Penner, former CEO of Procter & Gamble, and other business leaders. This will be your chance to get ahead and truly experience what it’s like to be a Golden Hawk!

New year, new semester! Welcome Week is an annual week-long event jam-packed with exciting activities to welcome students back from the holiday break and into the Winter Term. The first Welcome Week was launched in 2016 to introduce the rebranding of the Lazaridis Students’ Society, in which students had the chance to celebrate everyday with themed activities, free food, swag giveaways, contests, prizes, and much more!
Our annual Clubs Roundtable brings together student leaders from Lazaridis Students’ Society-affiliated clubs and associations for a full day of interactive sessions focused on club improvement. Increasing event relevance and the value provided to members through club activities are among topics discussed.
