What do we do?

LazSoc strives to enrich the Lazaridis student experience beyond the classroom. Our clubs host a variety of events throughout the year which provide opportunities for learning new skills, networking, and personal growth.

Presidents

The Presidents oversee all operational aspects of LazSoc, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team. We set the vision and mission for the organization as a whole and make high level operational decisions to ensure that we are always providing the best possible student experience for every Laz student. We act as senior resources for our internal team as well as the clubs’ community. We also work closely with Lazaridis faculty and the Dean’s office, and represent the student body on a number of faculty and administrative committees.

Marketing

The Marketing portfolio manages and operates all of LazSoc’s marketing and communication platforms. This includes but is not limited to the content creation and management of all social media channels, email blasts, and in-person outreach. Our goal is to keep students engaged and informed on the happenings within the Lazaridis community, as well as to support our clubs in showcasing their events and achievements via takeovers. This is accomplished through online posts, the writing and editing of forms of communication such as MorningByte newsletters, robust event promotions, and the designing and distributing unique LazSoc merchandise.
