Description
Startup Laurier's Premium Membership gives access to our Winternship program job portal and participation in the Laurier Venture Challenge (LVC). Winternship is a part-time, unpaid internship program for students in the Winter 2025 term, where students can gain first-hand experience working at both startup and established companies in the area. The Laurier Venture Challenge (LVC) is the flagship event of Startup Laurier in March 2025, designed to support and empower students as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
DISCLAIMERS: By purchasing “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership”, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: In the context of Winternship: Startup Laurier acts solely as a facilitator connecting students with potential internship opportunities and is not responsible for the relationship established between a student and a company. While we strive to ensure quality interactions, we do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of information provided by participating companies. Students are encouraged to independently assess and verify the terms of any engagement, as Startup Laurier is not liable for actions, decisions, or consequences arising from student-company relationships. Participation in Startup Laurier’s Winternship program is voluntary, and students release Startup Laurier and its representatives from any liability. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue our services without prior notice. This disclaimer is effective as of October 30th, 2024, and applies to all interactions facilitated by Startup Laurier from that date onward. Startup Laurier takes no responsibility for the outcomes of individual engagements, and students are advised to make informed decisions about their involvement with companies introduced through the club. Purchase of “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership” does not guarantee that the purchaser (the student) will be matched with an employer through the Winternship process. Purchase of “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership” merely gives students access to a job portal where they can then apply to the available job postings. Students are responsible to still go through the traditional job application process of reviewing, applying, and interviewing for the positions. Startup Laurier merely provides students access to the job portal and has no involvement with the company’s application processes.
In the context of the Laurier Venture Challenge (LVC): Students are able to participate in LVC as an individual or part of the team. If participating as an individual, said individual must show proof of purchasing “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership”. If participating in a group, it is required that at least ONE member of the participating group shows proof of purchasing “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership”. The deadline to purchase “Startup Laurier’s Premium Membership” in time to participate in LVC will be given at a later date when more information is available about LVC. Purchasing the Startup Laurier Premium Membership does not guarantee prize money from the competition. Prize money will be distributed across the top 3 teams that win the challenge as advertised.
