Role Description: The Finance Associate will be working alongside the Vice President of Finance and the Finance Directors to track and account for all financial transactions preformed by the Lazaridis Students' Society and subsidiary clubs. In this position, the individual selected will prepare monthly reports of all revenue earned by the clubs through our Shopify domain. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with the Finance Directors to complete additional finance related tasks. This position also works internally with executives on the Lazaridis Students' Society and requires the communication and collaboration skills to complete tasks in a professional manner. Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited to: Ensure the consistency and organization of all revenue reports for the Lazaridis Students' Society and it's subsidiary clubs. Compare the financial tracker to the records of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union and the Lazaridis Students’ Society internal records Assist Internal and External Finance Directors with their tasks if need be Meet with the Vice President of Finance on a weekly basis for reports and updates Report unusual or questionable findings to the Vice President of Finance Collaborate with finance and other portfolios to complete cross functional tasks The Ideal Candidate will Possess: Willingness to learn and apply the financial policy Excellent teamwork, time management, and collaboration skills Numerically-oriented High attention to detail Willingness to learn For this role, please be ready to devote 5-10 hours per week in the Fall and Winter.
