Role Description:
The First Year Internal and EDI Relations Associate is responsible for providing support to the Internal and EDI team to maximize inter-team efficiency, create a positive working culture, and assist in the planning and execution of meaningful EDI initiatives throughout the Lazaridis community. The Internal and EDI Relations Associate is able to apply an EDI lens and think creatively when developing programming for LazSoc and the greater Clubs' Community. The ideal candidate for this role is a hard worker who is eager to learn, get to know others, and collaborate to build connections within LazSoc and the greater Clubs' Community.
Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
- Assist in the planning and executing of team-building events for the LazSoc Executive Team to develop team comradery, improve cross-portfolio communication, and create a positive working environment
- Spearhead LazSoc's Breakfast Bar, a weekly snack program for Lazaridis students
- Develop, at minimum, one social per semester for LazSoc Executive Team First Year Associates
- Assist in the creation and execution of EDI Forums which foster learning, collaboration, and create safe spaces for the Lazaridis Clubs' Community
- Help manage and grow the Business Formal Rental Program
- Time dedication of 5-15 hours weekly

- Eager to to learn and passionate about EDI and Advocacy topics
- Acts as a trusted confidant in private matters and problem-solving situations
- Curious nature; not afraid to speak up, voice their opinion, and ask questions
